Welcome to Swift River Retrievers

Swift River Retrievers is located in the foothills of the Berkshires, in north central Massachusetts; we are surrounded by local farmland and rural New England villages conducive to upland and waterfowl hunting traditions.

Swift River Retrievers has been in operation for over 15 years, and has been known best for it’s “Train the Trainer” classes. Many of our students have gone on to earn Master Hunter and QAA titles as well as have a truly outstanding hunting retriever and family member. We work to bring out the best that your dog can be. Not all dogs have the ability to become Master Hunters for a variety of reasons. Our goal at Swift River is to allow you and your dog to be the best team you can be, whether you are taking one of our “Train the Trainer” class or would like us to develop your retriever for you, we tailor our training to you and your retriever.

Our Mission Statement

It is the mission of Swift River Retrievers to give our clients the highest level of service possible. We will deal honestly and openly with all of our clients concerning their retrievers’ progress in our training programs. We value our clients as team members and treat them with fairness and the respect that they deserve.

For Retrievers in our care, we will provide a safe and positive environment that allows our clients and their dogs to flourish and grow to their maximum potential. We will care for the retrievers trusted to us, with the same level of care we provide for our own retrievers.

We will give all the attention necessary to the clients in our “Train the Trainer” programs and give them the tools required to train their retriever to be the best it can be.

We will show leadership and good sportsmanship in all of our dealings within the Retriever community. We will give back to the sport whenever possible, and we will strive to provide help to those as they begin their journey into our Retriever community.
